Happy Certification to Me!

My sweet hubs knows the way to my heart and rewarded me with my choice of Lulu for certifying in Xtend Barre Stick! I have been eyeing this pair for weeks now, but they sell out in a matter of hours when they are in the store and they've been sold out online for weeks too. So while we were in Vegas, we went to the Lulu store there and they had just gotten a shipment in that day and I was lucky enough to snag a pair! Can't say no since that I get the discount for being an instructor....I'm in trouble now. I can see much more Lulu in my future and I'm not complainin'! If you happen to go pick some bottoms out from there, I would highly recommend getting either the Ebb and Flow or In the Flow crops because the material is amazing, so comfy, and it's my favorite waistband out of all their bottoms!

I was sold on the In the Flow crops in this amazing green color! So bright and in perfect time for Spring! I mean come on, they were totally worth the wait and tracking down!

Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! Be on the look out for the giveaway coming up to close out the week:)

Wear it Wednesday - TaTa Tamers

I'm talkin' sports bras. For those of us that weren't blessed with a small chest (trust me, I'd trade you so fast) finding something to keep the girls in control is hard to find. Usually it's 2 or 3 bras layered to give one nice big uniboob, and it still doesn't provide the control you need. It's ugly, embarrassing, and keeps me from going all out in fear of them going outta control, if ya know what I mean! SOO annoying!! I hope all of you bustier girls have figured out that your run of the mill, cheap, cute, colorful, Non-mom looking sports bras are REALLY hard to find to give the girls what they need. It's depressing, I know. So no more going to Target or wherever to get yourself a good bra, it's gonna take some searching, trying on, and cash money to get your best support and lift and separation....without looking mommish.

Not in any particular order, these are the 3 bras that I've tried that give your girls it all.

The Ta Ta Tamer II from LuluLemon. The name of which gave me the inspiration for the title of this post. Lulu is where you're going to find your funnest colors rather than the basic black and white. Found at LuluLemon stores or online. You can make this one a racerback, but it's not quite as comfy.

Ta Ta Tamer II
Women's Armour Bra by Under Armour. Found online or at some Sports Authority's and Dick's Sporting Goods.

Armour Bra DD
The Fiona by Moving Comfort. Found online at Moving Comfort, running specialty stores, and Dick's Sporting Goods. I love Moving Comfort's website because they have videos for every bra with all of it's features. I especially love that it's a racerback so it's more appealing under tanks, it's also comes in multiple colors.

Tell me your favorites bras so we can check them out!!

Seamless Lulu

As you know, we had our anniversary getaway last week and our first stop was at my favorite store-Lulu Lemon-if you know me, I love workout clothes more than normal clothes so I get much more giddy athletic shopping than fashion. My sweet brother and sister-in-law got me a Lulu gift card for Christmas so I was finally able to put it to good use and get a new number:) there were a couple things I had in mind and tried on, but when I slipped on these babies it was a done deal. They're seamless and are the most comfy things I have ever put on! Oh my gosh I love them and have to consciously remind myself I can't wear them every single day. I was debating for a while between the coral and bluish/gray, but came to the conclusion that the coral wasn't as versatile and you could see the booty crack in the lighter color...yeah, not a fan of that so I went with the more neutral navy color and I love them!

My favorite thing about these crops is the waistband, so stretchy, comfy, and light if that makes sense...
So easy to go from work out to sliding on some boots and walking out the door to run some quick errands, and not feeling like a total scrounge doing it. I'd highly recommend them:) Thanks so much Alise and Trav and hubs for getting me these!

Speaking of my awesome bro and sis, they sent me this video of their adorable little girl doing the workout with Alise. They said she kept wanting to do it/watch it over and over again, not a bad way for mommy to get in a workout:)

If these simple and way-too-common things don't alter your thoughts on what's happening to our 'food', I don't know what will. Don't take my word for it, just look at the facts.

'H'ear it Wednesday

So I totally got wrapped up and forgot to post the previous one yesterday, the joys of motherhood, right? So here's a second one for the day!

Wanted to share with you some of the regulars that play on my shuffle. I normally cannot listen to most of these songs just during the day or driving in my car, but for some reason when I'm in beast mode, they are awesome! If I feel like I can't go any harder, and one of these start playing, it's crazy how that huge burst of energy comes to finish. Try it!! Even this article proves it!

Radioactive - Imagine Dragons
Radar (Bloodshy&Avant Remix) - Britney Spears
Dog Days are Over - Florence and the Machine
Best of You - Foo Fighters
Cry me a River - Justin Timberlake
Power - Kanye West
Stronger - Kanye West
Fighter - Christina Aguilera
Lights(Bassnectar Remix) - Ellie Goulding
Let's Go - Lil' Jon

HAPPY LISTENING!!

Wear it Wednesday - Lulu Lemon

Anyone ever tried Lulu's stuff? Beware if you haven't, because you'll probably become obsessed. I'm in love with their products. Mainly the fact that they keep their shape, squeeze you in, somehow keep you warm but cool all at the same time, and are ridiculously cute! I sold my soul back on my birthday this year when my hubs took me there for a little shopping. Since then, I have saved my pennies for every purchase, why? Because it's totally worth it and they'll seriously last forever! And don't ask me why, but me in workout clothes is my husband's favorite. So I guess that's how we justify it haha.

These were some of my first purchases...

I die over all their clothes, but I'm currently lusting over these numbers.

Love Lulu! Hope you have a lovely Wednesday!

Wear It Wednesday - Skinny Jeans

I'm not exactly talking about the skinny jeans that squeeze every bit of you down to your ankles ( although, I do love wearing them, especially with boots in the fall). I'm talking about your personal pair of "skinny" jeans that I know all of us have! That pair of "one day", "I wish", "I used to fit in these", "I feel so hot" jeans. I have tried mine on numerous times, some sevens that I wore all the time my Sophomore year...in high school. After I blossomed, of course, no way I could or want to fit into kid's size jeans anymore.

Anyways, I tried mine on yesterday, along with another pair of William Rast's that I bought as 'goal pants' after I graduated with my Masters in Aesthetics. I was getting dressed to go run some errands with my husband the other day and slipped the latter pair of "skinny" pants on....

Needless to say, they didn't fit. Like, they weren't even cute at all! Saggy bum, dragging across the floor, literally hanging off me. I walked out to show my husband and his jaw dropped and saddened a little bit. He said, "oh no, I loved those pants. Those were my favorite on you." But he was quickly over it when he made me super happy by saying, "well, I guess we have to go get you some new ones!" Yes, please!

Then I went in and tried on the Sophomore year pants...

They totally fit, weren't even squeezing my sides which is always my problem area. Sadly, my style has changed since then so I don't really like them as much as I did years ago, but it still felt awesome! Putting those on and being able to tell my husband I haven't worn these since sophomore year, to which he replied, "of college?".."no, of HIGH SCHOOL", and to see his face was worth every bit of it. Not to mention the new jeans I will be getting soon;)!

So make the decisions and take the actions that will get you into your "skinnies". There's not a better feeling! Every early morning, every skipped treat, every moment you wanted to stop, every sprint, every healthy meal you didn't feel like eating....Everything that feels like a sacrifice in the moment, PAYS OFF, and I know there is no way you will regret it!

Wear it Wednesday - Headphones

......That actually STAY in your ears!!

Let me tell you, that is about all that matters to me. Minus the fact that music comes out of them, and the volume will adjust accordingly. I have been on the lookout for buds that stay in for years now, so long I almost thought I might have to resort to ear hole surgery so ones would fit, or worse...wearing the ones that wrap around your head and cover the whole ear. No hate if that's what you prefer, I just can't stand the big things covering my ears, the bouncing, and almost the feeling of claustrophobia from the headband. Let's be honest, they just don't work when running or trying to do anything intense. But with buds, I was literally shoving them back in my ears about every 15 seconds while I was running. I tried almost every set I could, borrowing family and friends' to see if theirs worked, but they would always tell me they had that same problem too. Good news, people! I FINALLY found some!

Skull Candy's name for them is perfectly suited - The FIX

These are the exact ones I ordered and let me tell you, they have been life changing! It comes with a whole little zipper case I can fit my shuffle in with them, and 3 different size buds depending on your big or bitty ear holes. Volume control on the wire strand, as you can see in the picture. My husband got these for me, knowing my strife with this whole situation, and when I got back from using them for the first time, he immediately asked me how they were. With my big smile and crazy enthusiasm, he was pretty proud of himself.

These are definitely a more expensive set of buds if you're used to just getting the free ones with iPods or $15 ones from Target. But, they are well worth it, especially if you do lots of running or high-intensity training. They run for $69.95 on Skull Candy, and come with a great warranty.

Wear it Wednesday-Music Stylings

“Wear it Wednesday” is when I will be sharing some products with you and kinda what I think about them. today I wanna talk about iPods, their pros and cons, and which ones you should invest in. First of all, if you’re like me, you can’t workout without a good beat in your ears. I find that I push myself harder while listening to music and it helps the time pass by a little bit easier. More on the benefits of listening to music while working out later. Here’s some of the options you have for iPods:
Image
Pros- iPhone if you need to remain accessible while you’re working up a sweat (don’t let this be a distraction to you though),GPS tracking which makes it super easy and accurate to track your runs or sprints, access to the app store (TONS of really cool exercise apps, I’ll post about my top faves later), easy music selection-
Cons- Bigger to carry around-can’t really have it in your pocket if you’re running or doing any kind of intense training–you would have to get an armband (Incase’s is the best), dumbbells being dropped on iPhones will ruin your day
Great for- Weight lifting with little movement
Image
Pros- Small and Light, Screen view, clip-on, Multiple colors, built in Nike+ Pedometer (No GPS capabilities), Watch function with timer and stopwatch, $129
Cons- Can’t think of any
Great for- Weight training, Cardio (especially running), Intense circuit training
Image
Pros- TINY, Clip-on, Easy volume and track adjustments, Multiple colors, ONLY $49!
Cons- No screen, Smaller GB capacity (But still, 2GB is about 480 songs)
Great for- Intense circuit training, any type of Cardio
My personal favorite is the Nano, because you get the best of both worlds. I can’t even feel it while I’m working out. In all honesty, my headphones are heavier than the Nano and the Shuffle. It’s also cool because if you’re a runner, it can track your miles, total time, and pace, then save it so you can look back.
If you’re looking to be a little more cost-effective, then the Shuffle is TOTALLY the way to go! Although people could complain about no screen on the Shuffle, it’s really not a big deal at all! I only use it for working out so I just have it filled with upbeat music that keeps me motivated while I exercise. Any way, you can’t go wrong with these products whichever one you choose. They’re all amazing!
HAPPY EXERCISE ROCKIN!
